In 2011 Liesl Stoltz embarked on a post-doctoral project to promote South African classical composers and specifically their work for flute. The project was a great success with performances and workshops locally and abroad notably at the 2017 International Flute Festival in Paris, France. The composers whose works were included were Stefans Grove, Hendrik Hofmeyr, Alexander Johnson, Peter Klatzow, Paul Hanmer, Paul Loeb van Zuilenberg, Roelof Temmingh and Braam du Toit. The purpose of this new project is to continue on the same journey; to promote South African music, but this time round focusing on the younger generation of South African composers as well as composers from the greater African continent.
