Following the success of their 2015 Woordfees performance, the Charl du Plessis Trio, comprised of Charl du Plessis (piano), Werner Spies (bass), Hugo Radyn (drums), returns to the Endler with Baroqueswing vol. 2.

As one of the most unique and recognisable musical ensembles in South Africa today, the Charl du Plessis Trio has contributed to resurgence in the popularity of crossover music. Charl du Plessis has taken the complexity of Baroque counterpoint and furthered that in improvisations that are based on the original chord structures.

They have won major music awards including a SAMA and a Ghoema for Best Instrumental Album. This trio frequently performs in Europe and Asia as well as at major music festivals in South Africa. After tours in Europe and the Far-East, the Endler concert will mark the launch of Baroqueswing vol. 2: their first European record deal with Swiss label Claves.
