A Celebration of Youth features young artists, Megan-Geoffrey Prins (piano), Lisa van Wyk (flute) and David Cyster (clarinet) in a programme including Mozart’s Flute Quartet in D major, K. 285, Beethoven’s Trio in B-flat Major, Op. 11 “Gassenhauer” for Clarinet, Cello and Piano and Schumann’s Piano Quartet in E-flat Major Op. 47. The accompanying trio of Suzanne Martens (violin), Karin Gaertner (viola) and Peter Martens (cello) are members of the Amici String Quartet and need no introduction to local audiences. As a special tribute to Allan Stephenson, much loved Cape Town based composer who passed away in 2021, the trio will also perform his most attractive String Trio.
