Babette Roosenschoon (cello) and Esthea Kruger (piano) bring to life music by female composers for the cello and piano. Featuring mostly Romantic compositions, these lyrical works written by the female contemporaries of the likes of Brahms and Mendelssohn were severely under-performed due to gender inequality and are still rarely heard on the concert stage today. The artists invite you to indulge in a selected programme full of rich melodies and joyous energy.
