Kaap, Mzansi & Beyond – Libertas Choir

| R100 – R130The production titled Kaap, Mzansi and Beyond has a strong and true Cape emphasis, whilst visiting the rest of our country and elsewhere. Several commissioned arrangements will be performed for the first time, among which a medley District 6: The Musical by Camillo Lombard, I Hear Music from Pacific Express, by Ramon Alexander, the contemporary hymn In Christ Alone by Gerhard Niemand, as well as Amanda Strydom se Ek loop die pad en Joshua na die reën, en Lig op die horison by Melissa van der Spuy. Several a cappella motets by the Welsh composer Karl Jenkins, such as And the Mother did weep, are also on the programme. Authentic interpretations of traditional Zulu folk music complete this musical journey. The Libertas Choir will be performing under the baton of Johan de Villiers, with piano accompanist Ramon Alexander.
Performances are on both Saturday 4 March at 16h30 and Sunday 5 March at 11h00 in the Endler Hall, Stellenbosch.
