Daniel Brodie is currently studying piano with Professor Nina Schumann at the University of Stellenbosch. In 2019 he performed with the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra and the University of Stellenbosch Symphony Orchestra in their respective concerto festivals and also appeared with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra in the final round of the National Youth Music Competition where he achieved 3rd place overall. He has recently been invited to appear with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra in late November for their Youth Concerto Festival. During his high school years, he was continually in the top 10 young pianists in the country and participated in many competitions including the Hennie Joubert Piano Competition, the Atterbury National Piano Competition and the National Youth Music Competition. In 2015 Daniel obtained his UNISA Grade 8 Piano with distinction and in 2016, was awarded his Licentiate in Piano Performance (LTCL) from TRINITY College, London. Over the last few years he has had masterclasses from many well-known pianists including Aviram Reichert, Agnese Eglina, Nina Schumann, Luis Magalhães and Francois du Toit.

Rosemarie Lemmer began piano lessons at the age of four and has received awards from various competitions in South Africa including the Atterbury National Piano Competition, 5th Unisa National Piano Competition, Philip Moore Music Competition, and the National Youth Music Competition in Cape Town. Recently (October 2020) she has been awarded the Lionel Bowman Piano Prize for the best performance of a Beethoven Sonata. She has studied with Alwyn van Heerden, Dr Elise Lemmer and Prof Bryan Wallick, with whom she studied at University of Pretoria (BMus). She has also taken masterclasses with Joseph Stanford, Wessel Van Wyk, Nico de Villiers, Ben Schoeman, Petronel Malan and Daniel Ciobanu. Rosemarie is currently a student of Prof Nina Schumann at Stellenbosch University and is completing her 3rd year BMus in piano performance. She hopes to further her performing career overseas when she has completed her Master’s degree.
