The University of Stellenbosch Symphonic Wind Ensemble (USSWE) is proud to present the opening concert of the WindWorx Fanfare, as part of the Endler Concert Series on Friday 13 May at 7pm.

An annual event, the WindWorx Fanfare continues Saturday 14 May at Durbanville High School where approximately 14 bands will perform for an adjudication panel throughout the day.

The Endler performance will feature Durbanville High School Symphonic Wind Band, and WindWorx Symphonic Wind Ensemble under the baton of Suretha Theron and Sean Kierman, respectively. The evening will conclude with the University of Stellenbosch Symphonic Wind Ensemble conducted by conductors Riaan van Wyk, Pamela Kierman and student conductor, Jaylin Cupido.

Works to be performed include Festive Overture (Shostakovich), Illyrian Dances (Woolfenden), Arabesque (Hazo), Variations on a Korean Folk Song (Chance) and Symphonic Suite from Star Trek (Giacchino, arr. Bocook).

Please keep in mind that for all live events current restrictions allow for 50% capacity in the Endler Hall and all safety protocols outlined by the University will be strictly followed.
