| R100 – R140The SU Choir is one of South Africa’s most outstanding youth development and choral programmes. For the past 82 years this choir has reflected the changes of our wider society and today stands as a testament to the power of music to bring about diversity and harmony across societal divide.
In 2017 the SU Choir was ranked first on the Interkultur list of 1 000 international choirs for the fifth consecutive year after participating at the World Choir Games in Riga in Latvia, organised by Interkultur in July last year.

From 29 June to 15 July 2018 the SU Choir will participate in the prestigious world choir eisteddfod, The Llangollen International Music Eisteddfod in Wales. They will be travelling to Wales via London and Bath where they have been invited to give performances.
Participation at the Llangollen Eisteddfod marks the beginning of the SU Choir’s bid to broaden its experience and continue to match itself alongside the best in the world. The Llangollen Eisteddfod, in addition to being a world-renowned choral music festival, is also a celebration of music, dance and culture of nations from around the globe. Participation in this festival is an opportunity for showcasing talent and, as importantly, for learning sharing and gaining profound experience not only of the best choral music in the world but also of the cultures and values that produce them.
On its return to South Africa the Choir will participate at the Interkultur World Choir Games being held in Tshwane this year as featured special guests.
