Operas often tell the stories of betrayal, murder and love that tests characters to the very limits of their emotional boundaries. Heroines (and anti-heroines) are usually the ones that suffer the most in these tales. They are passionate mistresses who willingly sacrifice everything and are certainly ready to murder should it be necessary.  This production focuses on these ardent heroines.
