The renowned Tim Kliphuis Trio from Holland returns to the Woordfees after much success in 2017. Classically trained Dutch violinist Tim Kliphuis, with Dublin based guitarist Nigel Clark and Edinburgh’s own bass player Roy Percy have developed a massive following with their range of jazz, gypsy and crossover music following in the footsteps of the great Stephane Grappelli, the grandfather of jazz violinists.

In their concerts, the Tim Kliphuis Trio use a technique they call ‘Total Music’, an allusion to the ‘total football’ of the legendary Dutch school, where each player can take over the role of any other player. In any part of the concert, the three musicians will be alternately leading and accompanying, making the resulting band sound a combination of all three personalities.

The performance take place on Tuesday 6 March at 20h00 in the Endler Hall. Tickets for R140 (regular) and R100 (students and pensioners) are available now through Computicket and R160 and R120 at the door.
