Evergreen music that touches the heart has universal appeal.  The Stellenbosch University Symphony Orchestra under the baton of conductor, Corvin Matei, presents a programme of heartfelt romantic music. The opening work is a tribute to Claude Debussy with all of the subtle colours and shades of the symphonic poem, Prélude a l’ après-midi d’un faune (Afternoon of the faun).  The internationally renowned solo guitarist, Morgan Szymanski, will follow this with the ever popular Concerto de Aranjuez by Rodrigo.  The second half is dedicated to Brahms’ last (fourth) Symphony in E-minor.
