War and Peace brings the Wits Trio – Zanta Hofmeyr (violin), Susan Mouton (cello) and Malcolm Nay (piano) – to the Endler Hall for an evening of musical reflection. Pairing Beethoven’s Archduke Trio with Shostakovich’s Piano Trio No.2, the programme moves from hope and tenderness to the stark realities of war, ultimately affirming the resilience of the human spirit.
