The Endler Concert Series will hold its annual fundraising concert, Klassieke Kollage on Saturday 18 August at 20h00 in the Endler Hall.

This year the concert will feature the University of Stellenbosch Symphony Orchestra (USSO) with retiring flute and conducting lecturer, Corvin Matei, as soloist in Mozart’s Andante for Flute and orchestra K 315. The internationally acclaimed piano duo, Nina Schumann and Luis Magalhaes, also known as the TwoPianists, perform Mendelssohn’s Concerto for two pianos and orchestra.

Following the interval several students from the singing division perform some of the most famous arias and choruses from the operatic repertoire such as the prayer scene Regina Caeli, from Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana, arias such as Soave sia il vento and the duet by Papageno & Papagena from Mozart’s comic operas, Cosi fan tutte and Die Zauberflöte ; also works by Strauss, Lehar, Puccini, Bizet and Verdi.

Tickets for R140 (regular) and R100 (students and pensioners) are available now through Computicket and at the door.  All proceeds will go towards the running of the Endler Concert Series.
