Die Barok-ensemble Camerata Tinta Barocca bied ‘n program van Barok-kamermusiek, met Lynelle Kenned (sopraan), Ralitza Macheva en Annien Shaw (Barokviole), Joshua Frank (blokfluit), Bridget Rennie-Salonen (Barokfluit), Uwe Grosser (theorbe), en die geheel vanaf die klawesimbel gelei deur Erik Dippenaar.

Die program ondersoek die moontlikhede om enkeldele van werke deur verskillende komponiste, musiek-eras en genres teenoor mekaar te stel as nuwe suites of partitas – ‘n algemene praktyk van die Barok-era.

Die programsluit musiek in van Bach, Barsanti, Geminiani, Händel, Hotteterre en Merula, en word ook op Barokinstrumente.

Hou asseblief in gedagte dat veiligheidsprokolle  en bepalings streng nagevolg sal word, en dat die getal luisteraars in die Endler tot ‘n maksimum van 100 beperk word. U veiligheid en die van ons studente en patronate is ‘n prioriteit.

Die konsert vind plaas op Saterdag 15 Mei om 7nm. Kaartjies teen R150 (gewoon) en R120 (pensioenarisse en studente) is nou beskikbaar by Computicket, en by die deur ‘n uur voor aanvang. Recitativo:
Nel dolce dell’oblio
benché riposi
la mia Filli adorata veglia

Amor non cessa mai

Aria:
Giacché il sonno a lei dipinge
la sembianza del suo bene,
nella quiete ne pur finge
d’abbracciar le sue catene.

Recitativo:
Così fida ella vive
al cuor che adora
e nell’ombre respira
la luce di quel sol
per cui sospira.

Aria:
Ha l’inganno il suo diletto
se i pensier mossi d’affetto
stiman ver ciò che non sanno.
Ma se poi si risveglia un tal errore
il pensier ridice a noi
ha l’inganno il suo dolore.

 

Recitative:
In the sweetness of slumber,
although she is sleeping,
my beloved Phyllis’
thoughts are waking
and in the stillness
Cupid never ceases
to disturb her peace
in many different ways
while she sleeps.

Aria:
Since sleep deceives her
with the illusion of her lover’s image,
she imagines, in the stillness,
that she is embracing his chains.

Recitative:
Thus she remains faithful
to the beloved heart
and in the shade she breathes
the sunlight
that she loves so dearly.

Aria:
The deceiption enjoys it
when thoughts are overwhealmed by feelings
and believe the dream to be true.
But when thoughts, on waking,
reveal the error
then the deceiption feels its pain.
