Caron Lisa Tremble (24), is currently a MMus student specialising in Piano Performance at Stellenbosch University under Prof Nina Schumann, having graduated with her BMus degree in March 2019. She started learning piano in 2003 at St Augustine Primary School with Diane Abrahams. In 2017, she won the Lionel Bowman Beethoven competition and Mabel Quick instrumental prize at SU. She has participated in the Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival from 2015 to 2019 (Piano Chamber) and the Stellenbosch International Piano Symposium from 2016 to 2018. Here she received masterclasses with Franklin Larey, Albie Van Schalkwyk, Francois du Toit, Aviram Reichert, Jura Margulis and Joseph Stanford. In 2019, she participated in Concours International de Piano- Ville de Gagny, France and she also participated in the UNISA National Piano Competition. Caron is also an active bassoonist and plays as an extra player for the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.
