The Endler Concert Prestige Series presents the international violinist Michał Buczkowski, and pianist Andrew Wright at 7:30pm on Saturday 25 February in the Endler Hall.

Michał Buczkowski is a soloist who has performed all over the world, from Bach to contemporary music. He is a laureate of prestigious scholarships from the Belgian Government and the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Andrew Wright has performed as soloist with orchestras in the United States, Mexico and the Netherlands and has performed in over a dozen radio and television broadcasts. He has won prizes at many competitions, including at the 2012 Vienna International Piano Competition, and the 2011 San Daniele International Piano Meeting, to name but a few.

Together they perform a programme of works they recently recorded for the prestigious Austrian Gramophone. The concert features French-Belgian composers, Cesar Franck’s Mélancolie for violin and piano, Marcel Dupré’s Sonata for violin and piano written in the early twentieth century and Guillaume Lekeu’s Sonata for piano and violin. The duo’s recording of the Dupré Sonata is a world premiere.
